One of the Utopian States is, by directive, hypermodern. The government is run by computers. The courts are run by computers. People vote electronically from their homes. People have sensors implanted so as to have their whereabouts monitored all the time. Because it is so easy to prove one's guilt, that there does not have to be punishment, long trials or litigation. There is just restitution and remuneration. Nobody has ever been expelled from this State, but that would be one of the most severe forms of punishment. There are many high tech jobs available in this state. Since there is much automation, there is much leisure time. The average person only has to work 20 hour weeks. The standard of living here is very high. People like to spend their leisure time in 'virtual realities'.
